Almond Blossom
For weeks the Gran Canaria Summit has been covered with white and pink colours of the almond tree flower. The landscape is changing into a beautiful place such as the Tejeda basin and in Valsequillo. 
The Fiestas del Almendro en Flor de Tejeda, in the heart of Gran Canaria, will have a special security and mobility plan to welcome the more than 30,000 expected people in the town from 2 to 4 February 2018. There will be celebrations which are still a reference to represent the essence of the island’s traditions through music, dance, food, handicrafts, games and native sports. 
These festivals represent an important economic boost for the center of the island and help keep alive the traditions of Gran Canaria through celebrations that reflect its essence during the last 48 years. It is pointed out the importance of supporting this type of events that preserve the customs of the Canary Islands.
Al wekenlang is de Gran Canaria-top bedekt met witte en roze kleuren van de amandelboombloem. Het landschap verandert in een prachtige plek zoals het Tejeda-bassin en in Valsequillo.
De Fiestas del Almendro en Flor de Tejeda, in het hart van Gran Canaria, zullen een speciaal veiligheids- en mobiliteitsplan hebben om de meer dan 30.000 verwachte mensen in de stad te verwelkomen van 2 tot 4 februari 2018. Er zullen vieringen zijn die nog steeds een referentie om de essentie van de tradities van het eiland te vertegenwoordigen door middel van muziek, dans, eten, handwerk, games en inheemse sporten.
