Moya is a town and a municipality in the northern part of the island of Gran Canaria. The town Moya is situated in the mountains, 4 km from the coast .
The Church hangs over the cliff which drops down to the Barranco de Moya. Opened in 1957.
In the Museum-house there is an extensive collection of material about the poet, a library and a collection of pictures relating to his life as the main representative of Spanish Modernism.
In the Parque Rural de Doramas is the Special Natural Reserve of Los Tiles. It is a compulsory visit for the many botanists who come to Gran Canaria to witness the spectacular nature and variety of the flora and fauna.
In Fontanales, which is a beautiful area, the popular dishes of which are the potajes or stews in which the yam is always one of the ingredients and the charcoal–grilled meats (especially goat and beef) well prepared with delicious sauces. Products such as the cheeses are as well known in this area. 
But what Moya is really famous for is its confectionery. As well as the industries producing homemade glazed bizcochos and suspiros (meringues) for which Moya is well known

Moya is een stad en een gemeente in het noorden van het eiland Gran Canaria. De stad Moya ligt in de bergen, op 4 km van de kust.
De kerk hangt over de klif die afdaalt naar de Barranco de Moya. Geopend in 1957.
In het museumhuis is er een uitgebreide verzameling en materiaal over de dichter, een bibliotheek en een verzameling afbeeldingen over zijn leven als hoofdvertegenwoordiger van het Spaans modernisme.
In het Parque Rural de Doramas is het speciale natuurreservaat van Los Tiles. Het is een bezoek zeker waard voor de vele die naar Gran Canaria komen om graag tussen de spectaculaire natuur te zijn en verscheidenheid van de flora en fauna te zien.
In Fontanales, een prachtig gebied, zijn de populaire gerechten de potajes of stoofschotels waarin de yam altijd een van de ingrediënten is en het houtskool-gegrild vlees (vooral geit en rund) goed bereid met heerlijke sauzen. Producten zoals de kazen zijn op dit gebied even goed bekend.
Maar waar Moya echt bekend om is, is zijn zoetwaren. Evenals de industrieën die zelfgemaakte verglaasde bizcochos en suspiros (meringues) produceren waarvoor Moya bekend is
